Introduction

The Official Coordinator is responsible for assigning officials to games, and for maintaining the official list. Official Assignment is very straightforward using YourSportsLeague.com, and officials are automatically notified of and can view their assignments.

YourSportsLeague.com allows assigning strength ratings to officials to help the official coordinator match the difficulty of the games with the strength of the officials.

There are three modes of assigning that a league can choose from:

1. Assigning by the official coordinator only.
2. Request/Confirm - an official can request games to officiate, and the official coordinator confirms the request
3. Self-Assign - an official can self-assign to officiate a match.

Request/confirm and Self-Assign is only allowed for games within the comfort zone of the official's strength rating.

YourSportsLeague.com allows importing officials from a list for leagues that have just signed up. There is also Official Payment assistance, where the Games Officiated Report can be exported into payment forms/records for individual officials.

Venue Official Coordinators can be assigned specific venues. They can only assign officials to games on those venues.

The Match Secretary specifies for each division how assignments are done (Hosting League, Scheduling League, or No Officials Assigned). See "Officials Assigned By" under "Options" for more information on this option. The Official Coordinator should let the match secretary know which divisions have no officials assigned. If the "No Official Assigned" option is selected for a division, then no official assignments can be made for games in that division.
